Please complete the application form. We recommend that you consult the key steps in the signage process and all relevant documents to help you prepare your application.

Eligibility criteria for businesses, activities, and eligible services

Here are the eligibility criteria for the Regional Tourism Signage Policy.

  • Must be a business, an activity, or a service with a vocation in tourism;
  • Must have a location, a branch, or a head office located within the official territorial limits of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell;
  • Must have marketing tools that are updated regularly (for example: a website or a social media page);
  • Must have clear and respected opening hours;
  • Must maintain a clean, welcoming, well-maintained, and safe environment for all visitors;
  • Must provide clients with high quality customer service
  • Must comply with all federal, provincial, regional, and municipal laws, regulations, and policies that the business, activity, or service is subject to; and
  • Must be willing to sign a Contractual Agreement with the United Counties of Prescott et Russell.

If you already have one or more signs installed in the region and would like to add another, please submit a new application using this form.

Here is a reminder of the eligibility criteria for the Regional Tourism Signage Program. If the nature or services of your business or tourist attraction have changed, please specify this in your application. 

  • Must be a business, an activity, or a service with a vocation in tourism;
  • Must have a location, a branch, or a head office located within the official territorial limits of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell;
  • Must have marketing tools that are updated regularly (for example: a website or a social media page);

Renew an existing panel

To prepare for your application

Key Steps in the Signage Process

For a New Application

  1. Application Submission: The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) receive your completed application form.
  2. Acknowledgment of Receipt: An acknowledgement of receipt is sent to you. If any information is missing, please provide it promptly to avoid delays.
  3. Review and Approval: The Administration examines your application and forwards it to Public Works to validate the location of the sign(s).
  4. Municipal Authorization: A municipal authorization may be required depending on the location of the sign(s). The UCPR coordinate the process with the municipality concerned (if applicable only).
  5. Agreement and Insurance: The agreement and policy are sent to you. The agreement must be signed and accompanied by a valid proof of insurance.
  6. Payment of Fees: The fees are charged according to the current fee schedule. Payment is required before proceeding (non-refundable).
  7. Manufacturing and Installation: Once the previous steps have been validated, the order is sent for the panel(s) to be manufactured. Lead times vary according to the nature of the work and the time of year. An update is sent to you at the appropriate time.
  8. Confirmation of Installation: The UCPR send you an email confirming the installation date of the panel(s) and the end date of your contract.

For a Renewal

  1. Receipt of Renewal Email: The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (UCPR) receive your renewal application and send you a form to complete. This form takes into account your existing sign(s).
  2. Review and Approval: The UPRC receive your completed renewal form and approve your application.
  3. Agreement and Insurance: The agreement and policy are sent to you. The agreement must be signed and accompanied by a valid proof of insurance.
  4. Payment of Fees: The fees are charged according to the current fee schedule. Payment is required before proceeding (non-refundable).
  5. Confirmation of Agreement: The UCPR send you an email confirming the renewal of your panel(s) and the end date of your contract.
