The United Counties of Prescott and Russell (the “UCPR”) are proud to announce that the relocation of all residents to the new Prescott and Russell Residence was a success.
On October 21 and 22, 2026, the 142 residents moved into their new home at 900 Spence Street in Hawkesbury, using transportation tailored to their needs, whether by bus, ambulance, or in a vehicle provided by a family member or friend. Thanks to the beautiful weather, some residents even made the trip in their wheelchairs, accompanied by a loved one, a staff member, or a volunteer.
When the first residents arrived, there was a great deal of excitement at the new Residence. The entire team is very proud to finally be able to provide high-quality care in a long-term care home featuring modern, accessible, inclusive, and versatile spaces.
The UCPR would like to thank the residents’ loved ones, community partners, staff, and volunteers who helped with the move. Thanks to their incredible teamwork, the residents were able to live this transition smoothly and explore their new surroundings with peace of mind.
