A Swing of Generosity at the Warden’s Golf Tournament

The Warden’s Benefit Golf Tournament of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell (the “UCPR”), which took place on June 20, 2025, at the Casselview Golf and Country Club in Casselman, was a great success.

Warden Yves Laviolette welcomed 160 golfers to this Tournament, an annual event that brings together representatives of the political sphere, regional businesses, and community organizations. Presented by Colliers Project Leaders, the Tournament sold out in fewer than two days, a testament to the generosity and commitment of participants to the region.

“We are going through a particular period that encourages us to invest even more in our communities. Once again this year, the response from sponsors and participants of the Tournament was remarkable. Thanks to them, we will be able to support more organizations in the UCPR - organizations that provide essential services for the well-being of our residents. I wholeheartedly thank all the sponsors and participants,” said UCPR Warden, Yves Laviolette.

Since 2018, $195,000 has been donated to the community through the Warden’s Fund. The funds raised by Warden Laviolette during this year’s Tournament will be distributed during the Inaugural Meeting at the end of 2025.

The UCPR would also like to congratulate the following golfers for their outstanding achievements during the Tournament:

• Women’s Longest Drive: Edith Léveillé;

• Men’s Longest Drive: Mike Whiffin;

• Women’s Closest to the Pin Challenge: Kate Kennedy; and

• Men’s Closest to the Pin Challenge: Pier-Olivier Fournier.
